French Link Snaffle - A double-jointed snaffle with a small flat central plate linking the two arms of the mouthpiece. The second joint reduces the nutcracker action of a single-jointed bit and directs pressure more evenly across the tongue, bars, and lips. Available with loose rings or fixed eggbutt rings, it is regarded as a mild bit suited to everyday schooling and flatwork.
